About this Workshop
We are so happy to bring back our Porcelain Marbling Workshop this spring! Together, Lizzie and Xenia will show the best methods to stain and prepare your porcelain. Then the group will split into handbuilding and wheel-throwing (based on registration) to get hands-on experience making your own marbled pottery!
Our workshop will be a part of BCAT, Brooklyn Ceramics Arts Tour: a weekend celebration of all things clay! On their website you can view all of the clay events happening around Brooklyn that weekend.
Handbuilding: Lizzie will guide the hand builders through her process of making marbled slabs and then constructing a vessel from a template.
Wheel: Xenia will take you through all the steps of marbling on the wheel from wedging, to throwing, to trimming.
Free to observe the demonstration only
Participation Price: $60.00 + firing fees to participate hands on with the instructor, plus materials (5 lbs of porcelain and various mason stains)
