About this Workshop
Workshop price includes 2g bright gold luster, 3 brush sizes, luster essence, and free firing of up to 1,000 sq inches of pottery for each participant. Pottery brought for lustering must be already glaze-fired.
***Must bring your own TRUE N-95 MASK (not KN-95).
Delve into the world of luster firings with local luster master Lynn Goodman. Lynn has been working with luster for over 40 years, utilizing its brilliant design properties on her porcelain work.
In the first class, Lynn will lead participants through the uses and kinds of luster and then demonstrate its best application techniques. Participants will then have time to apply luster to their own pieces with the help and guidance of the instructor.
The second class will allow participants to see everyone’s finished work together, so that Lynn can provide feedback and review key concepts and techniques.
At this time, as per NYC Small Business Services, The Painted Pot, as a small private business, has the right to require customers, ages 5 years and older, to show proof of vaccination. Masks are requested.
Weather permitting, we will have snack time outside. If weather is inclement, the children will have 10 minutes to eat their snacks in our studio.
